ABOUT ME
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years. I graduated from the University of Hawaii with my Masters in Social Work with an emphasis on mental health. I have worked in many different levels of care in the mental health field including outpatient, residential, emergency, inpatient, day treatment, and in home therapy.
My primary focus is to help individuals cope with symptoms of depression and anxiety as well as emotional regulation. Evidence base modalities used in treatment for youth include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to provide psychoeducation, coping skills training, relaxation skills, positive self-talk, and thought challenging. Parent training is also provided to teach the reduction of reinforcement of maladaptive behaviors and managing personal symptoms of anxiety and depression.
